How should I contact a dog owner?

If you like a dog and its profile, and maybe already have a match, contact the dog owner using the send a message button. Please adhere to the following guidelines:

• Introduce yourself and say why you would like to spend time with this dog.
• Tailor your message to the recipient, try to take into account the dog owner’s profile content and reference his/her preferences.
• Dog owners are often very attached to their pets. Suggest you meet up for one or two walks together with the dog in question. Do not expect to be allowed to spend time alone with a dog after the first meeting.
